If you're based in western Sydney — Parramatta, Westmead, Merrylands, Auburn, or Granville — Harris Park is the natural pick-up point. If you're in Sydney's north-west — Riverstone, Marsden Park, Kellyville, Rouse Hill, Blacktown — Riverstone is the closer option. Both stores are pick-up only; we don't currently offer delivery.
Our Indian Sweets Range
We make 29 sweets across seven categories. Below is the full list, with notes on what makes each one worth ordering.
Kaju Sweets — $39.99 / kg
Kaju (cashew) sweets are the premium tier of Indian mithai — richer in texture and more delicate in flavour than flour-based varieties. Ours are made with real cashew paste, not cashew flour or artificial blends.
- Kaju Katri — the classic diamond-cut Kaju Katli. Clean cashew flavour, fine-grained texture, finished with edible silver vark.
- Kaju Mango — Kaju base with real mango flavour. A seasonal favourite that works beautifully for summer events.
- Lajja Pista Kaju Barfi — a layered combination of pistachio and cashew. Richer, slightly denser than plain Kaju Katri.
- Kaju Anjeer Kaju Barfi — cashew base with fig (anjeer). A subtly sweet, earthy variation popular during Ramadan and Eid.
- Kaju Pan — shaped and flavoured with paan (betel leaf). A conversation piece — distinctive, fragrant, and memorable.
- Kaju Crunch — cashew base with added texture. More rustic than Kaju Katri, with a pleasant bite.
- Lajja Kesar Kaju Barfi — saffron-infused cashew barfi. The premium choice for weddings, naming ceremonies, and religious offerings.
Barfi — $34.99 / kg
Barfi is the everyday workhorse of Indian mithai — firm, sliceable, and available in a wide range of flavours. Ours are made fresh and don't sit on a shelf for days.
- Plain Barfi — milk-based, mildly sweet. A reliable crowd-pleaser for mixed groups.
- Almond Barfi — richer and denser, with whole or crushed almond throughout.
- Pista Barfi — pistachio barfi with a distinctive green hue. Popular for Diwali gifting.
- Mathura Barfi — softer and milkier than standard barfi, inspired by the Mathura style.
- Chocolate Barfi — a crossover sweet for guests who want something familiar. Works well at mixed Australian-Indian celebrations.
- Besan Barfi — gram flour based. Nuttier, more robust flavour; a traditional Rajasthani style.
Peda — $34.99 / kg
Peda is a soft, fudge-like milk sweet — traditionally given at religious occasions and temple offerings, but versatile enough for any celebration.
- Plain Peda — classic milk peda with a cardamom note.
- Almond Peda — soft peda with almond pieces. A slightly richer variation.
- Mathura Peda — harder and grainier than standard peda, based on the Mathura style. Long shelf life, distinct flavour.
- Pista Peda — pistachio-flavoured peda with green colouring and a fragrant finish.
Milk Sweets — $36.99 / kg
Our milk-based sweets are the most labour-intensive to make properly — they require patience with the reduction process, and shortcuts show up in texture. We don't take shortcuts.
- Milk Cake — a caramelised milk sweet with a slightly grainy texture and deep flavour. Agra-style.
- Kalakand — soft, moist, and milky. Often described as Indian milk fudge. One of our most popular sweets for gifting.
- All Chumchum — cylinder-shaped syrup sweets made from fresh chenna (curdled milk). Soaked in sugar syrup and finished with coconut or mawa. Rich and fragrant.
- Mix Sweet — a mixed platter of milk sweets. Ideal when you want variety without committing to one type.
Gulab Jamun & Rasgulla — $2.49 / piece
Syrup-based sweets are priced per piece. These are best ordered fresh and consumed within 2–3 days of pick-up.
- All Gulab Jamun — soft, dark-brown milk dumplings soaked in rose-scented syrup. Served warm or at room temperature. The most universally loved Indian sweet.
- All Rasgulla — soft white chenna balls in light sugar syrup. Less sweet than Gulab Jamun; a Bengali classic.
- Syrup Gulab Jamun — a variant of Gulab Jamun with more syrup for extra richness.
- Syrup Rasgulla — Rasgulla in a heavier, more fragrant syrup.
- Rasmali — flattened chenna discs in reduced, sweetened milk (rabri). One of the most delicate sweets we make. $2.99 per piece.
Laddoos — from $33.99 / kg
Laddoos are the most recognisable Indian sweet globally — round, dense, and satisfying. We make three distinct varieties.
- Kesar Laddo (Besan) — saffron-tinted gram flour laddoo. $33.99/kg. The traditional version, fragrant and mildly sweet.
- Yellow Laddo — a lighter-coloured besan laddoo with a different spice profile. $33.99/kg.
- Panjari Laddo — made with wheat flour, ghee, dry fruits, and seeds. Denser and more nutritious than besan varieties. $35.99/kg. Traditionally made postpartum, but popular year-round as an energy-rich sweet.
Why Our Sweets Are Different
There's no shortage of Indian sweets in Sydney — you can find them packaged in supermarkets, imported frozen, or picked up from sweet shops that make large batches once a week. None of those are what we do.
Num Num's Bakery makes sweets fresh to order. We don't hold stock for weeks. The Kaju Katri you pick up was made for your order, not sitting in a display case. The Gulab Jamun are made and syrup-soaked to a timetable that matches your collection date. The result is a texture and flavour that pre-made or shelf-stable sweets can't match.
And because everything we make is 100% eggless, there's no ambiguity for guests with dietary requirements. Hindu vegetarians, Jain families, and anyone who avoids eggs for any reason can eat everything on the table without checking. In communities where dietary diversity is the norm — which describes a large portion of Harris Park and north-western Sydney — that matters.
Ordering Indian Sweets for Events
Diwali and Festival Orders
Festival orders are our busiest periods. For Diwali, Eid, Navratri, Holi, and other major occasions, we recommend placing your order at least 5–7 days in advance. Large quantity orders (multiple kilograms across several sweet types) need more lead time than a standard single-kg order. Message us early — we'll confirm what's available and lock in your pick-up slot.
Gifting Boxes
If you're looking for a mixed selection for gifting — a combination of Kaju, Barfi, and Peda packed in a single box — just tell us your budget and how many boxes you need. We'll put together a selection that looks and tastes the part. Gifting boxes are popular for corporate events, housewarming visits, and religious occasions.
Wedding and Milestone Events
For weddings, engagement parties, baby showers, and naming ceremonies, we handle large sweet orders that need to serve 50, 100, or 200+ guests. We also pair custom eggless cakes with sweet trays for an all-inclusive celebration order. Contact us via WhatsApp with your event date, guest count, and which sweets you have in mind.
